Levelup

Overview[]

Ranks are titles that display next to the player's username, providing an additional bonus to mining power and the ability to mine certain ores that are rank locked, such as Mithril or Opal. Each rank requires progressively more XP, which can be gained through mining any type of ore, even Stone, and passively generated by the Data & Analysis building.

Sources of XP[]

By actively holding the Lantern, the player illuminates the area and receives 1/3 of experience from other players mining close by. Thus using the Lantern may be a viable strategy for new players to level up quickly while supporting other players with a light source.

The Data & Analysis building, accompanied by the Research & Development building, passively generates XP while the player remains in the experience. Every upgrade to the Data & Analysis building increases the amount of XP generated per interval, while every upgrade to the Research & Development increases the frequency. The player must collect the generated XP at their base.

Rank Table[]

Mining boosts do not deplete when leveling up, but instead stack. For example, an Expert's mining boost is not 50% - it's 240% (100%+10%+10%+30%+40%+50%=240%). Newbie has a base of 0% mining boost (100% total).

Note: The Numbers in the parentheses are the TOTAL XP REQUIRED, the numbers outside of the parentheses are the amount required from one rank to the next. Ore level requirements can always be bypassed with a Platinum Pickaxe.

Trivia[]

  • Super Deity was added in the Renovation Update.
  • There used to be a rank called Supreme Ruler in previous versions such as alpha testing. The rank was eventually removed. It was after overlord and where deity would be - a possible reason it got removed was probably that it got renamed to Deity.
  • The experience bar is the same color as the next rank you'll be. If your rank is Master, your experience bar will be orange as your next rank is Wizard. If you were rank Wizard, your experience bar would be red, and so on. If you're a Super Deity, then you would have no experience bar, as it is currently the max rank.
  • It will take you roughly 5 days (2.5 days with a ray gun) of non-stop grinding 5 Newtonium, per minute with a Newtonium Pickaxe to get from Newbie to Super Deity, that's without digging down to the Newtonium and not counting the fact that you have to get Data & Analysis level 10 and the fact that it's so hard to mine, if you're counting these factors it will most likely take two weeks, this is non-stop, so without sleep or food.
  • Most people grind Newtonium, since it is common and it gives a lot of XP (125K). However, some middle ranks (Legends, Masters and Wizards) find it difficult to mine because of the time it takes to mine an ore, the pickaxe they use and the fact that their Optimal Mining Depth is usually lower than 3000m+.
  • Overlords with a good data analysis might grind Frightstone instead as it provides more xp than Newtonium.
  • If you had max Data & Analysis (with Research & Development maxed), It would take 20 years for the XP collector in your base to collect enough XP to rank you up from Newbie straight to Super Deity. If you had level 1 Data & Analysis (with Research & Development in ruins), it would take 971 years for that to occur.
  • It is highly recommended when you reach rank Wizard, to start upgrading your Mining Operation to level 13 and craft a Mithril Pickaxe. This will make an easy gateway down to the lower layers.
  • As of October 1st 2022 the xp bar now shows progress to next rank, or shows how much xp you've gotten at Super Deity rank.
